The Ljubljana Graffiti & Alternative Culture Bike Tour explores street art, political activism, and independent cultural practices across a wider urban landscape, moving beyond the historic centre into neighbourhoods shaped by post-industrial change and grassroots creativity.
By bicycle, participants access large-scale murals, peripheral cultural zones, and areas where alternative music scenes intersect with everyday life. Interpreting graffiti and public interventions in their social and political contexts, the tour examines subcultural production as resistance, heritage, and contested public art.
Particular attention is given to political street art, works of local female artists, and to the shifting status of alternative cultures as they move between illegality, institutional recognition, and commodification.
